I was asked to give a talk in a series on the identity of  the academic discipline of  Psychoanalytic Studies to the students on the joint Tavistock Clinic/University of East London MA in the subject. The result is very much a compilation and shopping list of my own agenda and definitely a draft, since I have not yet undertaken the arduous talk of annotating it. However, I am putting it on the web in the hope that people will comment on it and supplement the information I have included. I am grateful to those who have already given me information.
