"Navigating the Internet can be a
daunting, time-consuming task. For most busy physicians, the time
required to map health-care resources eliminates the Internet as a
practical library tool. In order to resolve this shortcoming, we have
created WebDoctor™ - the Internet Navigator for Health-Care
professionals. WebDoctor™ features a comprehensive, peer-reviewed
index of Internet medical resources that is designed to provide
up-to-date medical information to practicing physicians. More

Hospital-alternative for People with Mental Illness:
Windhorse Associates, a non-profit organization led by a coalition of
professionals, family members and mental health consumers, provides
community-based treatment for persons suffering from life-disrupting
mental disorders. Founded in 1981, the Windhorse Program recognizes that
significant recovery from mental illness can occur when supported by
authentic relationships within a household setting. The program may be
used as an alternative to hospitalization, for structured support in
daily living, and as a transition to independent living. Our approach
emphasizes a compassionate response to extreme mental states without
excessive reliance upon medication.
