The Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy of
New Jersey (IPPNJ) is recognized by the state of New Jersey as a
non-profit educational corporation entitled to grant certificatesof
completion to its graduates. Its faculty consists of a diverse group of
psychoanalysts with extensive post-graduate training from a number of
reputable psychoanalytic institutes.
The overriding goals of IPPNJ are:
(1) the advancement of psychoanalysis as a method of
treatment, a body of clinical experience, and a theory of personality
psychopathology, adaptation, and creativity; and
(2) the promotion of the highest attainable level of
competence among mental health professionals who practice psychoanalysis
and psychoanalytically informed psychotherapy, supervision, and
