I appreciated your review of Webster's intellectual biography of Freud and why he was
wrong. The obsessive dwelling on the past can lead to the forced 'memory' of childhood
abuse. I don't mean to negate the real memory and pain of those who were abused. However,
remembering an isolated incident is sometimes the seed that is forced into a jungle of
feared but not actual events.
