Freud's Seduction Theory - Allen Esterson

[ Home | Synopsis | Addendum | Burying Freud ]

A lot of time and ink would have been saved if Masson and other bashers had read Freud's THE INTRODUCTORY LECTURES ON PSYCHOANALYSIS, chapter 23. He makes it quite clear that some are victims of real seduction and some are not. Those who are in the "not" camp can have phantasies of being seduced. To have a phantasy is not proof of a real event having transpired.
